Molly Brown also describes how she set up transition/relocalization groups in her area, what they are doing, etc. One new thing I hadn't run into before was "gleaning" -- inventorying abandoned fruit trees in the area and setting up harvest coops.

My opinion is that while there is urgency and I feel the need to be diligent in any area I can find to work on change, at the same time it's never too late. There is always something that can be done, because ultimately the work is on our own consciousness. Not waiting for dire circumstances before making deliberate changes in personal habits, personal tastes, etc. is another way of creating transition. You and Bill have inspired me with the changes you've made.
I'm working on how/when/where we can get together soon in a bigger way. Let me know if you have ideas. :-)

Acknowledging the dire situation we are in, but remaining calm and hopeful.I often feel overwhelmed by what I have learned. But, I know that we need to start somewhere. For me that somewhere is here on Transition Tennessee ,learning and hopefully doing something to help this community before it is too late. (Maybe it already is,but I can and will help)
