How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
i have been following peak oil for several years now and try to raise awareness where and when i can. I co-founded a local group, Peak OIl Nashville that has operated with limited success, however we do have a listserve that aids in communication if nothing else.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
In my transition preparations i have purchased a small bit of land with adjacent housing. Part of this is opened up for a community garden, where we are learning to grow our own produce and we will be adding our first chicken coop in the next few weeks. Being highly visible in the middle of the city, Wedgewood Urban Gardens offers an opportunity for me to share and work with many groups of people regarding energy decent and the need to move towards a more localized economy.
