How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am a professional Grant Writer, I have a Ph.D. in Ecological Economics and an M.B.A. degree specializing in Sustainable Business. My wife Jessica is an incredible Organic Chef and teaches Social Studies and History.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I conduct research projects in Sustainable Business and have experience in starting and managing small sustainable businesses. It saddens me to see the loss of "Mom & Pop" stores. I am involved in RE-LOCALIZATION in terms of organic farming, bringing back locally-owned stores and re-creating COMMUNITY.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
We are in the process of starting Nashville Permaculture and are looking for people who are interested in helping create a center in Nashville where people can go to hold meetings, workshops, grow their own food, see Permaculture principles in action, learn about natural building and off-grid systems, and socialize with like-minded people.
