- How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
- I am the chair of the organizing group for Transition Town Hohenwald, TN. Hohenwald became the 25th Official Transition Town in the USA in June 2009. I am the Director of the Financial Permaculture Institute, an organization promoting relocalization. I am very involved in the bioregional movement in TN and internationally. I'm helping organize the 10th Continental Bioregional Congress, which will be held in Summertown, TN in October 2009. I'm a Permaculture Designer and Instructor and teach about community development and localized economics.
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- My entire profession right now is focused on implementing and educating people about more sustainable local economic and community development strategies in TN and beyond. Localization is a “win” for the economy, environment, community development, and for quality of life.
- How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
- Share my personal experience helping found Transition Town Hohenwald, TN - June 2009. Teach people about Permaculture, community development, financial literacy, and integrated wellness. Disseminate this information to a diverse demographics of people in TN and worldwide. Participate in and add value to conversations across social networks and through social media.
