I'm glad you guys decided to meet this day after all! I don't think it's too early for anyone to meet in person and discuss what is ultimately a collaborative effort to save the planet, or at least our corner of it!

Welcome, Jeannie. Great to have another SVI person with us. And super-happy that you're interested specifically in the Transition movement and model. Where in Chattanooga are you located? And if you get a chance, please feel free to swing by the discussion groups and post your skills (see Christine's recent post). Great to meet you!

Profile Information
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I have the Transition book. I am on the advisory board of SVI. I am caretaker of the UCI's biodiversity park property. I want us to meet and learn and act so that we begin to transition Chattown.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I believe in local money, local food, site source energy production, living where you work, etc.... I think there is a way to create value in the Transition movement.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I would love for the Transition movement in Chattanooga to have monthly workshops using the Transition workbook. I think Slow Food and perhaps the Sierra Club and Green Spaces would be interested. I would like to offer the Cerulean Ranch as a meeting space as well.
