What To Do?

  • Set Up Your Group/Organization -- Declare your local group's interest in sustainability and transition. Any group or organization sharing a local and ecological vision, or city and town engaged in Transition initiatives deserves to be on this list. (NOTE: You must first SIGN UP as a member.)
  • Rely on the Members Directory -- Contact any Member by clicking on their photo. Every photo is one-click access to that person's resume. Read their background, skills, interests. See what they're involved with in your state or region. Welcome them. Connect. Recommend them to others with similar interests.
  • Invite others to join here -- enter emails separated with commas. Include a brief welcome message why you value their membership, remembering each person has unique gifts capable of enhancing our community. Invite others to join their respective states or country. Report issues here or visit the Central Support site.
  • Google Transition Custom Search Engine provided is indispensable for networking and research. You should be able to find 100s of regional individuals and groups by following its instructions.
  • Place Banners, Badges, or Video gadgets on your website or email advertising this site. Invite others to do the same.
  • Post Your Discussion/Forum Starters -- Any topic related to Transition -- questions, news, observations, opinions, suggestions, needs, offers, etc.
  • Upload your best photo -- ask the guy with the camera if you need assistance photoshopping. We can crop, fix, enhance! Upload to Profile Photo.
  • Update your Transition Profile -- Your answers comprise your Transition Resume. Your keywords make you findable on this site and in Google in general.
  • Install skype from /skype.com/download -- conference calls, workgroups and tutorials. A centerpiece in our community building. Add LSquiresSkype to your Contacts and Les will greet you at the door!
  • Transition Resources -- a list of books, films, websites.
  • HopeDance Film Library -- more than 500 films concerning sustainability, spirituality, social justice, 911, peak oil, drama, farming, gardening, permaculture, collected over 7 years
