greetings group,

we have lots of local members now and the holidays are over. We should be thinking about meeting and discussing what we want this group to be and what we want it to do.

what days and times are open for you? I am pretty flexible as i work a rotating shift. I work weekdays for the next two weeks, so nights or weekends would be my choice.

any thoughts?

Thanks for opening a new discussion on this. Where we left off a couple weeks ago was Pam and I pondering a Friday evening at a coffee house where all of us could kind of share about our skills and interests (as opposed to having a topic the first time). Other ideas are welcome! :)

Thursday evenings would work for me as well. Actually I'm pretty flexible as long as I'm not swamped with work, so whatever works for the rest of you...

Tomorrow night is that Sierra Club meeting at Green Spaces. Why don't those of us who are already going to that try to meet up there? I'll be late since I don't get off work til 7.

I am fairly open as to meeting times as long as there is plenty of notice- more than 2 days- we have babysitter issues and no family down here to help out.

I sometimes have my grandaughter on mondays -thursday evenings so Friday or Saturday is better. Just let me know. I ususally know my schedule by Saturday for the upcoming week.

We have seven people replying so far to this post -- is that enough that we could get together?

Of those seven, we have 2 who prefer Friday, 4 who are flexible, and Elizabeth prefers Mon/Wed.

Elizabeth, would a Friday evening (February 6?) work for you?

Lana and Pam, is there any way you could do a Monday or Wednesday evening (February 9 or 11?) for this first meet-up?

Who else is on board? We have over 40 members -- any body else game for a meet-up? What days are good for you in the coming weeks?

So does everyone agree that we can meet up on Wed. the 11th after 6 pm? Now we just have to figure out where. any ideas, a public spot like Greenlife or a coffee house would be good for a first meeting. Or does anyone have a suggestion? We should try to make definate plans this weekend.

Wednesday the 11th is fine here. And Greenlife works fine for me, but I'm open to other ideas as well. Whatever you guys come up with.

Elizabeth - can you come? What about everyone else? It would be great if this could be a good turn-out where we can meet a lot of the faces we see here on the group.

I think I'll post a new thread proposing this date and time. Maybe that will catch the eye of some others.
